About SaveProof

SaveProof helps you keep a verifiable record that a note and files existed in a specific form no later than the recorded time. Create a Proof, save the resulting file, and share it when needed.

How SaveProof works

Content is processed on your device

The browser creates a fingerprint of your note and files. For a Protected Certificate, it also encrypts the contents on your device. SaveProof never receives the note, original files, or Encryption Passphrase.

SaveProof records the time and signs the record

The service receives the fingerprint and approved metadata, records the time, and signs the Proof. Its Verification ID opens a public Verification Page. An optional Proof name is public there. For a Protected Certificate, SaveProof also stores the access conditions and the key component needed to enforce them, but not the content-bearing file.

You save and share the result

The Certificate and contents are assembled into a PDF or .saveproof package on your device. You save the file and share it yourself. A public link does not replace that file or disclose its contents.

The Proof and its contents are checked separately

The browser checks the Proof signature. Available content is checked separately: its fingerprint must match the recorded one. Protected content can be checked after authorized opening and decryption. Public Proof verification is possible before disclosure; a new access request needs a connection to SaveProof. A date or owner permission does not show that a recipient opened or read the contents.

Save the HTML reader with your PDF or .saveproof package to check it without an internet connection. Files and notes stay on your device.

For Protected Packages, the reader checks public Proof data offline. Opening protected content requires a previously authorized SaveProof response; saving that response is not yet available in the website interface.

A Proof records content and time. It does not prove authorship, ownership, truthfulness, identity, or legal validity.

Private by design. SaveProof records the Proof without storing your content.
